When two worlds collide

Hardly any other studio manages to create worlds as vivid as Rockstar Games. With GTA 6, their most ambitious project to date is about to launch – and fans are analyzing every single pixel of the second trailer. A creative Reddit user named KuzeyU has now done something that has amazed even die-hard veterans: he compared scenes from GTA 6 with exact moments from Red Dead Redemption 2.

The result is almost like a cinematic journey through time. Whether it’s a bar brawl, a nighttime robbery, or a relaxing fishing trip at the lake. Everywhere you look, there are image compositions that seem like an homage to Rockstar’s Western masterpiece. The Reddit community responded enthusiastically: “Great, interesting post that actually took effort? Amazing,” commented one user, while another simply wrote: “This is so cool, can you do more of this?”

What at first sounds like coincidence reveals Rockstar’s signature style upon closer inspection. The creators seem to have deliberately drawn emotional and visual parallels to Red Dead Redemption 2 – perhaps to showcase their development skills or to build a bridge between their worlds.

The graphical quantum leap – “It doesn’t even come close”

In addition to the narrative and staging references, it is above all the technical progress that is causing a stir. Even die-hard fans are amazed by the visual impact of GTA 6. One user comments under the comparison images: “The graphical leap from RDR2 to GTA 6 is really impressive.” nbsp; And even creator KuzeyU is surprised: “I took the screenshots with ultra graphics settings and Reshade – and even that doesn’t come close to GTA 6.”

The fact that a five-year-old Western title still serves as a benchmark today speaks volumes about Rockstar’s attention to detail. But now the studio seems to be pushing the boundaries once again – with more realistic textures, more natural lighting, and a game world that visibly breathes.

So the Reddit comparisons show more than just nostalgia. They highlight how far Rockstar has come – and how skillfully the studio references its own work to create something completely new. If GTA 6 looks like these images promise, we are in for a milestone that could make gaming history.
