Predator: Killer of Killers is getting a new ending almost two months after its release, featuring cameos from two franchise legends.
Did you miss Arnold Schwarzenegger in the latest Predator movie? We can’t blame you, because the finale of Killer of Killers would have been perfect for a cameo by Major Dutch
Schaefer.
Need a little refresher? The animated adventure, released in early July 2025, ends in a Yautja cold storage chamber. There, the alien big game hunters have stored a few particularly skilled fighters – such as the Viking warrior Ursa (Lindsay LaVanchy) and the Prey heroine Naru (Amber Midthunder).
Of course, there has been plenty of speculation that the Yautja have a few more familiar faces stored in their refrigerator. And lo and behold: Almost two months after the release of Killer of Killers, the film suddenly gets a new ending!
Arnold Schwarzenegger suddenly appears in the new Predator movie
Director Dan Trachtenberg has decided to extend the finale of the Predator movie by a few seconds. Now we see Major Dutch Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from the very first Predator and Detective Lieutenant Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) from part 2 in the cryogenic chambers.
The new ending is not yet available on Disney Plus in Germany (we checked), but it has been available on the US streaming service Hulu for a few days. If you’re curious, you can find it on YouTube, of course:
More Predator for Arnold Schwarzenegger?
How did the cameos in Killer of Killers come about? Director Dan Trachtenberg spoke about this at San Diego Comic-Con, as reported by Variety reports:
I spoke with Arnold [Schwarzenegger] recently and […] we talked a lot about what we could do together. He was kind enough to approve his cameo for this film. Now we can continue to work on ideas for what else [for Predator] is in store.”
So it looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger could return to the sci-fi universe 38 years after Predator.
This wouldn’t necessarily have to happen in front of the camera, but could take place in another animated film in the style of Killer of Killers.
Predator: Badlands (also directed by Dan Trachtenberg) will hit the big screen on that date. And the trailers already make it crystal clear: we’re getting a new crossover with the Alien franchise!
