The new game from the developers of Green Hell has achieved an 84 percent rating on Steam in Early Access.
Star Rupture already made a name for itself in playtesting, and this trend is now continuing. It launched in Early Access on January 6, 2026, where up to 24,000 simultaneous players were playing.
Previous reviews also clearly show that the mix of survival, shooter, and base building has struck a chord. Now the developers are providing an outlook for the coming months with a roadmap.
84 percent positive reviews on Steam
At the time of writing, after just one day, almost 800 users have submitted a review
Players praise the successful genre mix and the potential that Star Rupture has to offer:
- “Star Rupture has enormous development potential – the gameplay (building, automation, exploration, and the monsters) is really entertaining and captivating. I can’t wait for future updates and the story.“ – Steam user DawidGGG
- “I’ve played the demo and playtests enough to know that this game has all the elements of a good factory/automation game. And given the launch price, it’s a no-brainer if you’re interested in this genre. I assume they will add game settings to adjust the difficulty level and the (for me) less interesting survival elements.“ – Steam user [Lord] Vader
- “Still in its early stages, but very exciting! It’s a bit like Satisfactory, but with many new approaches. It runs bug-free, in German, and the performance is just buttery smooth! Recommended purchase for anyone who likes automation, weapons, and base building!“ – Steam user PhotoMachmann
The negative reviews mainly refer to technical problems and missing quality-of-life features, which is to be expected in Early Access.
To address these issues, developer Creepy Jar is now presenting a roadmap.
