Normally there are one, at most two new games for free in the Epic Games Store every week. In the week from 30 June to 07 July, however, Epic is giving away three titles! We’ll tell you which ones they are and which ones are particularly worthwhile here.
Iratus Lord of the Dead
The highlight among the free games is definitely the roguelike Iratus Lord of the Dead. As a necromancer, you try to get back to the surface with the help of your minions and subjugate humanity. 19 different servants loyal to you, including zombies, vampires, skeletons, mummies and banshees are at your disposal! You will also need all the support you can get in the tactical round battles, which are as tough as a roguelike can be. So imagine that you’ll be using your necromancer’s talent for rising from the dead a lot.
In order to progress victoriously from dungeon to dungeon, you must use the skills and strengths of your Minions skilfully. Constantly improve your own skills and expand the underground refuge to which you return again and again. Even though Iratus can be frustrating at times, the reward and learning curve quickly kicks in again, so you’ll always feel like getting a bit further the next time you try to break out.
Greenforge 1 – Mutagen
The unique open fantasy RPG Greenforge 1 – Mutagen takes you into a completely alien world. In the remaster of the original from 2001, which looks extremely charming, especially due to its retro pixel look, you have to create new life as a so-called “shaper”. You can expect lots of treasures, special abilities with which you can build up your mutant army and an all-round successful role-playing experience of the retro class.
From an isometric perspective, you control your character through various unusual areas and dungeons and have to avoid dangerous enemies and creatures. In return, Greenforge 1 – Mutagen also offers unparalleled freedom in your choice of gameplay. Destroy your enemies with the help of magic or deadly animals. Hood: Outlawss & Legends
Hood: Outlawss & Legends is a real highlight of the last few years for multiplayer fans. In a medieval setting, you will plunge into exciting PvP and PvE battles with a group of scoundrels and various characters. To get the valuable treasures, you can act sneakily or brutally, but always watch out, because the rival team is also hunting you down.
On various maps, you can tactic as you please and try out different ways to get your prey. But beware! The sheriff is always on the lookout for you as an invincible opponent. Fighting together as a team and coming up with a suitable battle plan is the key to success in Hood: Outlawss & Legends. The medieval light fantasy world inspired by the Robin Hood legend is full of dense atmosphere and detailed towns. Can you make it from outlaw to legend?
