With over 5 million copies sold, translated into 16 languages and distributed in over 30 countries, the Sacred series is one of the most successful video games from Germany. Now, fan favorite Sacred 2 is returning as a remaster!

The revamp of the “German Diablo” is being developed by SparklingBit, the studio of Sacred creator Franz Stradal. The remastered version will offer revamped gameplay – battles are now faster and controllers are fully supported, as are mouse and keyboard. The UI, HUD, and textures have also been given a fresh new look. In addition, with the support of the loyal community, a whole truckload of bugs have been fixed.

Sacred 2 Remaster is set to be released in the fourth quarter of this year for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X as a Complete Edition with all updates and the add-on. Console gamers in particular have something to look forward to: after 16 years, they will finally be able to play the Ice & Blood expansion for the first time. However, those looking forward to multiplayer should opt for the PC version, as multiplayer mode is only available here.
