The first patch contains several technical improvements for Capcom’s latest Resident Evil game.
Following its release last week, the first update for Resident Evil Requiem is now available. Capcom has fixed a few technical issues that were sure to have been a thorn in the side of some players. The patch is 1.4 GB in size on Steam and is already available for download.
Patch 1.110 for Resident Evil Requiem
There is currently no official announcement with the patch notes, but there is an entry with the changes in the Steam forum with the changes: The following improvements have been made:
- Performance improvements: Fixed a bug that caused frame drops of up to 16 percent on some systems with RTX 40 and 50 series graphics cards.
- Together with NVIDIA, a problem was fixed that led to particularly high power consumption and crashes when playing Resident Evil Requiem. The problem was related to the current Geforce driver 595.71.
- Some crashes on certain hardware configurations have been fixed.
- The user interface translation has been improved overall. In addition, the automatic adjustment of the text size in some languages has been adjusted, as it did not fit into the intended text fields.
- Steam Deck: Although the game is still not officially supported by Valve’s handheld, improvements have been made to ensure that Resident Evil Requiem now runs at a stable 40 FPS in FSR 3 Balanced Mode.
Important: The new patch means that mods are currently no longer compatible with the game and may not work properly or cause the game to crash. In this case, you should disable the mods and wait until they are updated.
However, the update does not bring any changes to the content. This is not surprising, though, as the press and players don’t have much to complain about when it comes to Resident Evil Requiem. International reviews call it the best main installment in the last 20 years, and the new Resi also impresses across the board in the GlobalESportNews test. More on this in the box above.
