Preload for Kingdom Come 2: When will the download be available before launch?

You can install the role-playing game before its release on February 4. We give you an overview of the preload and the exact start time on PC, PS5 and Xbox X/S.

Only a few days separate you from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2! And to make sure you can really get started right at launch, you should think about preloading – because this medieval role-playing game is going to be huge.

According to the official system requirements, you need around 100 GB of free storage space depending on the platform, so depending on your internet connection, you’re in for a pretty big download.We’ll summarize all the information about pre-installation and the exact release times.

What you need to know about preloading Kingdom Come 2

Different preload times apply for the PC (via Steam, Epic or GOG), PlayStation 5 and Xbox X/S platforms. However, the actual release is the same for everyone. To download Kingdom Come 2 before launch, you must of course have purchased it beforehand, i.e. pre-ordered it. You can choose between the basic version or the Gold Edition including the DLC pass. Three expansions have already been confirmed for 2025.
When can you start the pre-installation?

  • PC: Starting February 3, 2025 at 5pm
  • PlayStation 5: Starting February 2, 2025 at 5pm
  • Xbox X/S: Starting January 28, 2025 at 5 p.m.

Developer Warhorse has also commented on the exact start time. Here you can see when exactly you can set off for Bohemia yourself:

For Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the same time applies as for Prague and Rome on the map, as we are in the same time zone.So you can start playing on February 4 at 5 p.m.
