This afternoon, Nintendo released a new trailer for Pokémon Crimson and Purple. In it, we not only saw some gameplay scenes. We also got to know the new professors and had a first look at the new Legendary Pokémon.

With Pokémon Crimson and Purple, Nintendo combines familiar and popular gameplay mechanics, but adds new ones. The open world gameplay with the 3rd-person camera from Pokémon Legends: Arceus, for example, is being implemented for the first time in the main series. You can also explore the new region in co-op with up to 4 friends. Its name has still not been revealed, but suspicions are growing that the region is inspired by the Iberian Peninsula.

In addition, Pokémon Crimson and Purple’s new trailer shows you a number of new pocket monsters that you’ll soon be able to discover, alongside the starter Pokémon. These include the two Legendary Pokémon Koraidon (Crimson) and Miraidon (Purple). For the first time in the history of the Pokémon series, there will also be two professors, one for each edition. In Crimson, you’ll be working alongside Professor Antiqua, while in Purple, you’ll be assisting Professor Futurus.

Pokémon Crimson and Purple will be released on 18 November exclusively for Nintendo Switch. You can pre-order (here) now.
