The surprise hit of the year, Palworld, has released its next major update about 11 months after its release in January 2024. The patch is called Feybreak and is available to play now.

New Island Feybreak
Just like the title of the update, the new island is also called Feybreak. It is about six times larger than Sakurajima. That was the last island to be added to the game. You can also get a first glimpse of the new island in the trailer:
How to get to the new island: Before you set off for the new island, you should definitely get a flying mount or a swimming mount, because you have to cross part of the sea. You should also be aware that Feybreak Island is designed for higher-level players. But you can still unlock it. We’ll show you the best way to get there in the video:
New weapon
Terraria fans already know this wonderful weapon. As part of the upcoming collaboration between Terraria and Palworld, the Meowmewo weapon is now coming to the game as a prelude. This is a two-handed sword that fires meowing cat heads at your opponents. No kidding. There’s even a trailer for it:
New mechanics and modes
From now on, your pals will be even more useful. You can now send them on expeditions or have them do research in the lab to unlock permanent bonuses. Thanks to the expeditions, you can now also get materials that cannot be mined in the immediate vicinity of your base.
All of this should take some pressure off, so you can explore the world in a relaxed way, without constantly having to cart materials.
In addition, the sphere mechanics have been changed. On the one hand, as a result of the legal dispute with Nintendo, on the other hand, you can now attach modules that increase your catch rate, for example. This goes wonderfully with the new “Random Pal Mode”, in which pals spawn at random in your world.
If that’s too boring for you, you can really sink your teeth into the new hardcore mode. Permadeath included! You can find both modes in the settings.
In addition, new NPCs, a new raid, a new boss and various new items have been added to the game with the new update. As said: All patch notes can be found again on page 2.
