On Steam, the new survival game Star Rupture already has more players before its release than some of its competitors have after theirs. No wonder, since it has an ace up its sleeve: factory logistics like in Satisfactory.

Factory construction, survival, and an open world: Star Rupture is already attracting thousands before its release. You can play too.

Factory games like Satisfactory and Factorio are hugely popular on Steam.

Now it seems that the next promising candidate could follow in these big footsteps. Star Rupture is the title that is attracting the attention of thousands of players even before its official early access launch. The game promises an exciting mix of base building, exploration, and survival in an inhospitable alien world and comes from the developers behind Green Hell.
p>Interest in Star Rupture is already considerable. A recent playtest of the game recorded an impressive peak of 6,701 concurrent players. By way of comparison, that’s almost exactly the same number of people who were active on Steam when the cozy game Tales of the Shire was launched (6,723).

These figures are remarkable, as the free playtest is only a demo and includes single-player mode only. If you’re curious, you can try it out until August 4 at 7 p.m. apply via the Steam page until August 4 at 7 p.m.

What is Star Rupture?

Star Rupture is played from a first-person perspective, similar to Satisfactory. It sends you to an extraordinary and constantly changing planet that is designed as an open world.
You can experience the adventure alone or with up to four friends. At its core, the game is about mining and managing resources to build a complex industrial system. At the same time, you must defend yourself against hordes of aggressive alien monsters.

The developers promise a huge open world rich in resources, locations, and secrets. The planet has been torn apart by repeated disasters, but is also constantly being reborn by solar flares, creating a dynamic and dangerous environment. Players must learn to cope with extreme temperatures and the hostile creatures that lurk around every corner. Survival under time pressure until the next eruption is always the main focus.

What do the testers say about Star Rupture?

Detailed feedback from the playtesters can already be found on the game’s Steam forum. User

“The combat feels great […] The performance still needs to be improved […] Overall, I think it’s great, I can’t imagine not buying this game when it comes out, and I’m really excited to see how the co-op mode works in this game. It’s extremely fun to discover and explore new places.”
