For a long time, Telltale Games were among the greats of story-driven games. The Wolf Among Us was among their best and most popular games in 2013. After numerous other narrative detours, including the Borderlands, Batman and Game of Thrones worlds, the studio surprisingly shut down in 2018. Now, however, there is finally a sign of life again from the developer studio Telltale, which has been revived by LCG Entertainment. There is now also finally news about Wolf Among Us 2, the state of affairs and when the sequel will even play.

These are the latest details on The Wolf Among Us 2

In the following tweet, industry insider Shinobi602 reveals what we can expect from the second installment of the point-and-click adventure game Wolf Among Us.

According to this, the sequel to Telltales story episodic game Wolf Among Us will be set six months after the original. A comparatively short time span, considering how long ago the first part was released. So a seamless continuation from the end of the first part is very likely. There, Snow White has taken over the post of Deputy Mayor of Fabletown. While the last scene with Detective Bigby left us alone with the credits as a cliffhanger ending. According to the developers, the story of the second part will be based much more on the comic book Fables by Bill Willingham.

The setting this time will be the whole of New York and in winter! The perfect atmosphere for a gritty crime-noir tinged narrative. In addition, the script for the game is said to have already been finalised and motion capturing for the characters’ animations is to follow soon. In addition, the graphically outstanding and contemporary Unreal Engine is said to have greatly simplified the development and work on the game.

When we can finally expect the release of The Wolf Among Us 2 is unfortunately still uncertain. Only pre-production was announced at the Game Awards in 2019. In addition, Telltale is currently working on an ambitious other project with The Expanse. We hope that this year we can at least see a first gameplay trailer for hopefully Telltale’s next highlight.
