New on Steam this week: From dark fantasy worlds to absurd fishing adventures to hard-hitting racing action, there’s something for everyone.
It’s a busy week on Steam: FromSoftware sends you into its dark fantasy worlds with friends for the first time, while elsewhere an ordinary angler rises to become an unlikely hero.
But racing game fans, building game players, and horror lovers also have something to look forward to. As always, we present an overview of the most exciting new releases on Steam this week.
Table of Contents
Highlight of the week: Elden Ring: Nightreign
(Genre: Role-playing game / Soulslike – Developer: FromSoftware – Release: May 30, 2025 (Steam)
With Elden Ring: Nightreign, you can expect a completely standalone co-op adventure in the Elden Ring universe. In a parallel world, you return to the Roundtable Hold and must survive three days and nights in the darkness, alone or with up to two other players in co-op, before facing a particularly powerful final boss.
Every night, the game world changes and becomes smaller, so you can expect a merciless battle for survival with roguelike elements. Of course, lore fans won’t be disappointed either, as the spin-off expands the world of Elden Ring with new locations, bosses, and secrets.
