Steam is getting some exciting new releases this week in strategy, action, RPG, and more—as always, we’ve got the overview for you.
This week, Steam has a number of exciting new releases in store for you: After years of waiting, the hardcore shooter Escape from Tarkov is finally being released, and fans of building strategy games will also get their fix with a new Anno game. In addition, action role-playing games, cozy survival games, and racing simulations are waiting to be tried out.
But there’s much more to discover! Like every Monday, we bring you a compact overview of the most important Steam releases of the week.
Highlight of the week: Anno 117: Pax Romana
Genre: Building strategy – Developer: Ubisoft Mainz – Release: November 13, 2025 (Steam)
Anno 117: Pax Romana transports you to the year 117 AD, the height of the ancient world power. As a Roman governor, you will build magnificent cities in various provinces—from the green hills of Italy to the rugged coasts of Britain—while skillfully balancing the needs of your citizens with the demands of the emperor.
The proven Anno formula remains intact and is expanded at the same time: you build extensive production chains, trade across land and sea, and ensure the well-being of your Roman population, who go about their daily routines in lively cities.
New this time are real military conflicts: Both on land and at sea, you lead armies into battle, defend your borders against rebellious barbarians, and can conquer or pacify neighboring territories.
You can promote local traditions or rigorously enforce Roman law. Even the gods play a role—you choose a patron saint for each region to receive unique bonuses.
Ultimately, it’s up to you whether you always obey the will of Rome or pursue your own ambitions and risk the wrath of the emperor.
Anno 117: Pax Romana also offers a co-op mode, so you can forge your empire together with up to three friends.

- Rue Valley: A narrative RPG that draws you into a mysterious time loop. As the protagonist, who keeps reliving the same day, you explore the picturesque town of Rue Valley and gradually uncover the hidden feelings and secrets of its inhabitants. The atmospherically staged isometric world and the profound dialogues are reminiscent of Disco Elysium – every decision could be the key to escaping the time loop curse.
- Possessor(s): The new game from the makers of Hyper Light Drifter ventures into dystopian realms and is a fast-paced side-scroller with Metroidvania flair, featuring stylish 2D graphics and challenging combat. These battles are inspired by classic beat ’em up games – combos and aerial attacks included. You control an unlikely duo: the young heroine Luca shares her body with a strange being named Rhem, and only together can you survive in a flooded city devastated by an interdimensional catastrophe.
- Sacred 2 Remaster: Hack-and-slay nostalgics take note – Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is making a comeback in a modernized version. This remastered version of the cult action RPG from 2008 includes all expansions and gives the game contemporary improvements: reworked graphics, a smoother combat system, improved stability, and controls adapted to today’s systems. Dive back (or for the first time) into the open fantasy world of Ancaria with Seraphim, Shadow Warrior & Co. and experience hundreds of quests full of monster slaying and humor – including the legendary concert by the in-game band Blind Guardian.
- Junji Ito Maniac: An Infinite Gaol: This first-person horror game takes you into a terrifying world where reality and madness blur. The name Junji Ito is synonymous with surreal manga horror: You slip into the role of a student who finds himself in a seemingly endless, nightmarish mansion. Instead of brutal action, the game focuses on sneaking, hiding, setting traps, and solving puzzles.
- Wall World 2: Following the surprise success of the first Wall World, this mix of mining game and tower defense sends you on another journey along the endless wall. In Wall World 2, you once again control your robot spider vehicle to penetrate the wall, mine resources, and defend yourself against hordes of creatures. The sequel expands the gameplay in all directions: new biomes within the wall, more upgrades for your exosuit and spider, and even more dangerous secrets lurking in the procedurally generated mine shafts.
- NASCAR 25: After a four-year hiatus, the famous stock car racing series finally returns to the PC—developed by the simulation experts at iRacing. NASCAR 25 features the official cars and tracks from the current season and is clearly aimed at racing fans: in career mode, you work your way up from rookie to cup champion, while realistic handling, pit stops, and tire wear ensure authenticity. If you have gasoline in your blood and love high-speed oval racing, don’t miss out on this title.

- Winter Burrow: A cozy survival game. In Winter Burrow, you’ll experience a heartwarming adventure as a little mouse returning to its home burrow in the forest. Instead of bloodthirsty enemies, you’ll mainly face the pitfalls of nature: you’ll collect berries, wood, and other resources, bake cakes, knit warm clothes, and make yourself comfortable in your burrow before winter sets in.
- Tabletop Game Shop Simulator (Early Access): Have you always dreamed of owning your own game store? This simulator makes that dream come true. As the owner of a tabletop store, you’ll be responsible for purchasing board games, trading cards, and miniatures, decorating your store, and organizing events such as trading card tournaments and Warhammer painting nights.

- INAZUMA ELEVEN: Victory Road: The iconic mix of soccer RPG and anime enters the next round – for the first time on PC. In Victory Road, you assemble your own quirky youth soccer team and experience a story full of friendship, rivalry, and, of course, spectacular matches. Fireballs and tornadoes fly across the field: each player has crazy special techniques to sink the ball into the net. Long-time fans can also look forward to Chronicle mode, where you can relive legendary matches and characters from previous Inazuma Eleven games.
- Assetto Corsa Rally (Early Access): After supercars and Formula cars, Assetto Corsa is now venturing into gravel terrain. The new rally edition is launching in Early Access and is aimed at die-hard simulation fans: on special stages recreated in detail using laser scanning, you race against the clock while your virtual co-driver guides you through tight combinations of corners. The highly realistic driving physics require a delicate touch, because every mistake can send your car skidding off the track.

- Where Winds Meet: This ambitious open-world MMO immerses you in medieval China and feels like a mix of Ghost of Tsushima and a classic wuxia film. As a wandering swordsman, you explore an open world full of lively villages, bamboo forests, and mystical mountains. You’ll master martial arts, take on bandits and all kinds of supernatural enemies, and decide for yourself which path your hero will take – will you become an honorable protector or a ruthless mercenary? Thanks to a variety of side activities such as crafting, hunting, and traditional medicine, there’s more than enough to do.

- Escape from Tarkov: Eight years after its early access launch, the hardcore shooter is finally being released as version 1.0 – at the same time as its Steam release. EFT enjoys cult status among shooter fans for its tough mix of PvP and PvE: as a mercenary, you venture into sealed-off war zones, always on the hunt for valuable resources and equipment. But be careful: if you bite the dust in this ultra-realistic military shooter, you’ll lose your hard-earned loot. The developers promise not only new content for the full release, but also declare war on the ubiquitous cheaters.
These are by no means all of the new releases, but they are the most exciting highlights for Steam players. Feel free to write in the comments which game you want to try out first this week – would you rather build an empire, escape from Tarkov, or get swept up in Far Eastern action?
