Between the European Championship and the start of summer, there are a few insider tips hiding in the Steam releases

Summer has only just begun, Euro 2024 is in full swing and while the sun beckons you out into the fresh air, many of you still want to know what exciting new games are coming to Steam.

However, we are all in for a bitter disappointment this week: The infamous summer slump strikes immediately and mercilessly and the Steam Store is flooded with a wave of uninspired indie games. Nevertheless, we were able to discover a few titles that are worth a look and that strategy fans in particular could get their money’s worth

Despite the summer slump: These games could surprise you

Monday, June 24

  • Dice & Fold: This dungeon crawler deck builder relies on a mixture of solitaire and dice games for its combat system.

  • Ocean World – Eden Crafters: Free prologue to the crafting survival game Eden Crafters. Collecting resources, building bases – you know the drill. Only the water planet setting is new.

    Tuesday, June 25

    • Riven: A remake of the puzzle-heavy adventure game from 1997. Anyone familiar with the somewhat better-known classic Myst will know what to expect.

    • Until Then: A mixture of adventure and visual novel. Life is Strange meets Filipino culture and pretty pixel visuals.

    • Emberward: Tower defense, but here you still have to design the maze yourself in the classic way – with Tetris blocks!

      Thursday, June 27

      • Battle Crush (Early Access): A Free2Play arena brawler from the iso perspective. The gameplay is reminiscent of Battlerite, played in various modes such as Team Deathmatch or Battle Royale.

        Friday, June 28

        • OUTBRK (Early Access): If you love the movie Twister, which is getting a sequel next month, here’s the game to go with it. You become a tornado hunter and have to face the extreme weather to take photos at close range and measure data. You can watch the trailer for the upcoming movie again above – and if you want to go tornado hunting yourself afterwards, add OUTBRK to your Steam Wishlist.
