Wednesday, 8 p.m. – Bond takes the stage
The excitement is building: On Wednesday, September 3, PlayStation will present a new edition of its State of Play. Unlike usual, this time the livestream will be at a convenient early hour for fans – namely at 8 p.m. German time. Those who tune in can look forward to around 30 minutes of insights into a game that has been the talk of the town for months.
The focus will be on 007: First Light, the upcoming action-adventure game from IO Interactive, the creators of the successful Hitman series. Sony has announced nothing less than the “world’s first gameplay reveal.” This puts an end to the speculation surrounding Bond’s first major solo adventure in the video game universe.
First mission, first chase
According to Sony, the stream shows Bond’s debut at MI6 – with everything that goes with it: fast-paced car chases, nerve-wracking stealth moments, and adrenaline-pumping shootouts. The aim of the presentation is to give fans a “comprehensive impression” of the gameplay. So it should be clear: this isn’t just about short trailer snippets, but real gameplay footage.
007: First Light was first unveiled in June 2025 and has been generating high expectations ever since. After all, it’s about nothing less than the playable birth of a legend. IO Interactive promises a fresh interpretation of the secret agent that sheds light on Bond’s origins, but at the same time bears the signature of the Hitman creators – a combination that is sure to thrill both stealth fans and action lovers alike. Whether the new title lives up to its promise will be decided on Wednesday evening – live in front of millions of eyes.
