Sony is celebrating the departure of Jim Ryan with a special digital collector’s item. He is now retiring after almost thirty years at PlayStation. PlayStation players now have the opportunity to get their hands on a digital bobblehead of Jim Ryan at PlayStation Stars. The bobblehead is available as a reward on the digital loyalty points platform. The aim is to honor Ryan’s contribution to the company and his passion for gaming.

Jim Ryan, who has led the PlayStation business since 2019, has achieved significant successes during his tenure, including the launch of the PlayStation 5. The British manager, who worked at Sony’s PlayStation division for almost 20 years, including as head of European business and head of global marketing, has announced that he will retire in March 2024. In his farewell statement, Ryan mentioned the difficulties of balancing his family life in Europe with work commitments in North America, expressing his deep commitment to PlayStation and his optimistic view of the company’s future.

To receive the digital collectible, players must play one of the six games Ryan supported during his time as CEO. The catalog consists of the following titles: Gran Turismo 7, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok, The Last of Us Part 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Destiny 2. The collectible is a tribute to Ryan’s 30-year career and his impact on the PlayStation world.

PlayStation Stars allows users to earn exclusive digital collectibles or reward points by completing challenges and campaigns. Now, theloyalty points program offers the opportunity to celebrate Ryan’s legacy while experiencing exciting games. With this promotion, Sony is saying goodbye to the leader and allowing gamers to express their gratitude and appreciation for Ryan’s work for gaming.
