In August 2025, Amazon Prime subscribers can once again look forward to numerous free games. This time there are twelve of them. Amazon has included the 2000s strategy classic Civilization 3 and the 2014 reboot of the Thief franchise. Find out everything you need to know here.

As always, the games are available as keys for various platforms such as Epic, GOG, or via the Amazon Games app. You can pick them up on the official Amazon Prime Gaming website:

Genre: Strategy – Release: October 2001 – Developer: Firaxis Games
Sid Meier’s Civilization 3 Complete can be downloaded without any problems as one of the best strategy games of the 2000s and includes the full version with all released expansions. You control various advanced civilizations from around the world and throughout human history and prevail against enemy societies—at least if you have what it takes.
In the different scenarios, you can try out numerous strategies, tactics, and modes to assert yourself with your people. Keep in mind, however, that multiplayer has not been officially supported since 2014.
Civ 3 is now available with Prime Gaming can be added to your GOG library for free. If you don’t have a Prime subscription, you can also get it for €1 until August 18, 2025 on Steam for €1.
