If AMD’s new graphics cards really look this cool, my RTX 3090 will fly out of the computer

Somebody thought about how AMD’s Radeon RX 7000 could look like. Editor Alex thinks the fan rendering is great!

The rendering of a fan inspires me with simplicity

What about it? Someone took the trouble to create renderings of AMD’s new graphics cards, i.e. the Radeon RX 7000, based on a preview that AMD itself gave. You can see it in the picture at the top. Twitterer Technetium just thought it through logically.

Okay, there’s not much to the story, because theoretically anyone could complete AMD’s half-shown design and announce it to the world via Twitter or any other service. And in the end, the cards might look a little different after all.

But honestly, as I type this I’m sending a prayer to heaven that Technetium has hit the bull’s eye. Because if the new Radeons really look that cool, I want one of them in my fancy glassed-in personal computer.

Simple black, the centre axial fan is slightly waisted and accentuated with two filigree white LED strips. In addition to a discreet Radeon lettering, an equally discreet red line is applied to the heat sink to underline the brand affiliation.

Wow, I am thrilled by so much understatement! That’s what I like: a powerhouse that only makes itself known as such. There’s not really much to be said against replacing my RTX 3090 with an RX 7900 XT. If it really looks like that.

Of course, performance, price and power consumption play a much more important role in the end. But I’m just going to assume that the previous leaks and rumours will prove to be somewhat accurate and that AMD will once again put Nvidia under a lot of pressure. If the two rivals are otherwise on an equal footing, small things may be the deciding factor in the end – so why not the optics in case of doubt?
