It’s not the only curiosity on the space station, which is inhabited by humans, orangutans, robots, and skeletons. The worldbuilding in Universe for Sale is surprisingly profound – it’s just a shame that we don’t get to see much of this fascinating world.
In the style of a visual novel and a point-and-click adventure, we engage in conversations and explore simple levels. Mini-games also add variety, but the gaming experience is clearly driven by the story. On Steam, this is enough for a strong 94 percent positive user reviews, but there are only 94 reviews in total.
Opinions differ on the ending, but that’s perfect for a game that you can get for free – if you don’t like it at the very end, you haven’t lost any money. Universe for Sale doesn’t take up too much of your time either; you can get through it in five hours. Wonderful entertainment for a cold winter evening or the holidays!
