This week’s free double offer consists of two insider tips that have received very good ratings on Steam. Let us introduce them to you.
Epic has dusted off two more games for you this week and removed the price tag. For seven days, you’ll get two insider tips that you probably haven’t heard of yet – but according to user reviews, both are really good.
Both serve completely different genres, which in the best case means that there is something interesting for as many people as possible. Do you like to crack mysterious mechanisms and/or shoot your way through hordes of monsters? Then read on.
Boxes: Lost Fragments
Boxes in video games evoke mixed feelings: on the one hand, they often contain cool items and other treasures. On the other hand, we can never quite shake the association with loot boxes that try to sell us cosmetic trinkets at expensive prices (or worse, brrrrr, XP boosts).
But you’re safe from that in Boxes: Lost Fragments, because here it’s not the contents that are the focus, but the chest itself. We’ve broken into a posh villa as a thief and found a series of mysterious containers that we now want to crack open. Or have to, because something isn’t quite right here…
If you can’t get enough of puzzle games like this in adventure games, you’ll get your money’s worth here. The game has received an impressive 92 percent positive user reviews on Steam.

My Night Job
Not in the mood for leisurely brain teasers? Then Epic’s second free offer of the week has more action to offer. My Night Job is survival horror in the style of classic arcade games. As a night watchman, you literally battle hordes of monsters.
You do this either with your bare fists (we’re leaning heavily on 80s clichés here) or with around 60 weapons. Chainsaw? Sure. Floor lamp? Why not! Variety is the biggest appeal of the game, which keeps you chasing new high scores.
My Night Job has 83 percent positive user reviews on Steam. However, it should be noted that there are only 55 of them in total. An insider tip doesn’t get much more secret than that.
Epic’s offerings aren’t exactly blockbusters, but beggars can’t be choosers. Maybe these small titles are just right for adding to your digital library and digging out spontaneously when you don’t know what to play. But of course, we’re happy to help you with that, for example by trying out Steam demos for you.
