Playground Games has revealed the full PC requirements. In the four categories, there is only a reference to necessary upscaling.
Forza Horizon 6 is likely to be one of the racing highlights of the year for anyone who loves virtual racing cars – after all, Playground Games promises nothing less than the largest game world in the entire series to date.
Around a month and a half before the planned release date of May 19, 2026, the developer has already released the full system requirements; until now, only the minimum requirements ofForza Horizon 6were known.

In principle, Forza Horizon 6 requires an SSD; Playground Games specifies an NVMe SSD for the two highest tiersHowever, the developers do not specify exact capacities in thenew release

- With regard to upscaling technologies, Playground Games promises the full range:Nvidia DLSS 4, AMD FSR 3 and 4 as well as Intel XeSS 2.1 are on board.
- This is also necessary for the “Extreme RT” setting if you want to play Forza Horizon 6 smoothly with ray tracing enabled and in 4K resolution, as the developers explain.
In addition to ray tracing with support for RTGI (“Raytracing Global Illumination”), Forza Horizon 6 also ensuresUltrawide support and, if desired, the removal of any frame rate limits.
Aside from this, there are a few extras for PC players that should not only make your life as a racing driver more enjoyable, but also easier – at least on a technical level.
Forza Horizon 6 will (finally) allow all graphics settings to be applied without having to restart the game.
In addition, the developers promise a live preview for “numerous graphics options” so that you can also see what actually changes to the image.
To check the effects on your frame rate, there is a tool available in the game alongside the benchmark mode that allows you to keep an eye on both RAM and video memory usage.
Forza Horizon 6: Steam deck support official
So far, the developers have only mentioned in the context of gaming handhelds that devices with Windows 11 are officially on board, such as the ROG Ally X.
With the corresponding announcement, Playground Games is now delivering good news:Forza Horizon 6 is also officially verified for the Steam Deck, so you can race across the tracks on the go without any problems.
