With Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the next game in the shooter series will be released in the first quarter of 2024 after more than 14 years. After a long time of silence about the title, the developers now show a new gameplay trailer. We were also allowed to try out the game at gamescom, although what was shown made our editor Natalie quite sceptical.
In the trailer we see classic elements of the Stalker games.We fight bandits and mutated monsters with familiar firearms like the Kalashnikov or the Makarov pistol, search for artefacts and avoid the dangerous anomalies. The release of Stalker 2 was actually planned for December 2023. However, the Ukrainian developers have now had to push the date back once again.
