A new Fallout game is unlikely to be released anytime soon, but a complete fan film that continues the story of New Vegas will be released in November.
Fallout: New Vegas remains one of the most popular games in the series to this day, and fans continue to clamor for a sequel. However, since developer Obsidian is focusing on its own brands, Fallout: New Vegas 2 is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
In December, the Fallout series will take over the task of continuing the story of New Vegas. One month before the series starts, on November 17, 2025, an impressive fan film will be released with the same goal in mind.
Steel Brotherhood vs. NCR
Shortly before the release, the creator of the animated film, YouTuber Dinzhi, has released a new trailer that prepares viewers for the new story:
Invasion of New Vegas takes place several years after the end of the game. In the film, the battle for Hoover Dam ended in favor of the New California Republic (NCR). Their army subsequently occupied New Vegas, but is now being challenged by the Brotherhood of Steel. Thanks to the cold fusion technology from the series, the organization is stronger than ever and can challenge the NCR.
With its focus on the war between the Brotherhood and the NCR, the film is likely to be very combat-heavy and brutal, as the first scenes from the trailer suggest. Incidentally, the work was created using Blender graphics software and Unreal Engine 5. Dinzhi emphasizes on his YouTube channel that no AI tools such as Sora were used.
Of course, we’ll get even more New Vegas starting December 17, when the first episode of the Fallout series is released. If you want to see more of the NCR and the Brotherhood of Steel before then, we can also recommend the Sodaz’s YouTube channel. Under the title Fallout Sunburst, he is also working on a fan film that pits the two popular factions against each other. You can find all the important information about the series launch in December in the hub article linked above. We also have more good news for Fallout fans. The Outer Worlds 2, developed by New Vegas studio Obsidian, has just been released. And already, many fans are praising it as the developer’s best role-playing game since the Fallout spin-off.
