Todd Howard has already spoken out on a few episodes of Into the Starfield. Now the game director is speaking out about upcoming Bethesda titles. The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 have already been mentioned. But when can we expect which game?

The hype around Starfield is real. After Bethesda has provided us with impressive gameplay in recent years, we can hardly wait to set off on an odyssey through the stars. But what actually comes after that? In an interview with (IGN), game director Todd Howard addresses this question. The space adventure is to be followed by The Elder Scrolls VI. This is to be followed by the release of Fallout 5. However, Howard does not give any exact release dates.

If we take a look at the production schedules of the individual Bethesda titles, the whole process could be delayed for a long time. For example, Bethesda started work on Starfield back in 2015. When the title is released next year, a full seven years of production will lie behind it. Even though production on The Elder Scrolls VI had already begun, it was initially put on hold because of Starfield. So the release of this sequel could drag on for several more years. Accordingly, we probably don’t need to expect Fallout 5 in the next 5 years.

Whether all the titles will be Xbox-exclusive is another matter. It is true that Xbox already claimed that it did not want to build up a monopoly. But it is questionable whether the economic interests will not prevail at some point.

Nevertheless, Bethesda does not forget its Fallout fans and therefore presented a new update for Fallout 76, which we will introduce to you in more detail in another article.
