Fable should have been released long ago. Although there is still no specific release date, a new leak has now revealed a wealth of details about the game world of the upcoming role-playing game.
The Fable reboot is a real mystery . We don’t know what the fourth installment of the role-playing game series will be about. The game’s release date is also still unknown. Fable, the official, simple title of the new installment in the series, was actually supposed to be released in 2025.
But then, at the beginning of last year, Microsoft decided to postpone the game to an as yet undetermined date in 2026. However, light could soon be shed on the matter. According to official information from Microsoft, the publisher intends to provide a first detailed insight into the game at the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct 2026.
On Twitter, the developers wrote:& nbsp;We’ve been working on Fable for a long time. Now it’s finally time to show you more of it. Much more. Check out Developer Direct for a first deep dive into the game.
Not only does this sound like developer Playground Games will be showing more gameplay from Fable this Thursday, but also that we can finally look forward to a concrete release date.

Details ahead of the presentation
Just two days before Developer Direct, numerous concept drawings for the upcoming Fable have been released. They are said to originate from a former Playground Studios employee and provide a good impression of the game’s visual style. Since this is a leak, we do not want to host this content, but you can view it at on the MP1st website.
The 29 images show an astonishingly dark fantasy world that, on the one hand, offers picturesque landscapes, but on the other hand, throws our heroine into creepy dungeons. In one of them, there is even a werewolf waiting.
A signpost in one of the images also points to the settlement of Bloodstone. Those who have played Fable 2 may remember that this is a port city where criminals and pirates seek refuge. Geographically, it was surrounded on three sides by the deadly Wraithmarsh swamp and by the sea to the south, effectively isolating it from the rest of Albion.
In the new Fable, we are supposed to return to the city, which now features an arena, a market district, a craftsmen’s quarter, and a pub.
Please note that these are not only leaks, but also concept drawings. The actual representation of the locations and events in the game may therefore differ. However, they give a very good first impression of the atmosphere of the game.
We will finally learn more about the new Fable from official sources on January 22 at the latest.
