On February 18, 2025, Obsidian’s new RPG adventure “Avowed” will officially open its doors, but those who choose the Digital Premium Edition can dive in as early as February 13. The expanded world ties into the universe of Pillars of Eternity and is available for the first time on Battle.net. This platform choice is part of the new Microsoft strategy made possible by the Activision Blizzard merger and brings Obsidian to this prominent platform as well. Editions for individual gaming experiences “Avowed” will be released in three versions: the Standard Edition offers the base game, while the Digital Premium Edition includes additional skins, the soundtrack and an art book. The Steelbook version in particular includes an exclusive card and a stylish steelbook in addition to this content. The two skin packs, inspired by the Studio Obsidian and the “Pillars of Eternity” characters, bring personal customization options for players. With this, Obsidian offers role-playing fans an experience that appeals to both connoisseurs and newcomers with its wealth of detail.
