Dying Light 2 was relatively well received at release, but there was still criticism of the zombie game with parkoure inserts. In a new video, the developers from Techland explain which wishes of the community the next big update should address. It will be released on 27 April and will offer the following new features:

Increased spawn rates of special infected: With the next update, you should encounter certain zombie species much more often. This should make it easier to get special items.

New Game Plus: Probably the biggest innovation of the patch. You start the game from the beginning, but keep all your equipment and skills. Only your Nightrunner tools have to be earned again because of the connection to the main story. You can also find 30 new inhibitors to fully develop your character’s skills. However, these are well hidden and you will have to solve various puzzles to get them.

No restrictions in co-op: If you are already playing in New Game Plus, you can still invite players who are playing for the first time at any time. Instead of additional inhibitors, they will then find valuable loot. In addition, remaining bugs in co-op mode have been fixed.

New Challenges: In New Game Plus, there is supposed to be a new difficulty level, furthermore, enemies scale with Aiden’s level and thus remain strong. New encounters are supposed to especially test your fighting skills, as well as an additional quest that comes up with yet unknown enemies.

At the end of the video, the developers ask players of Dying Light 2 for further feedback. They are ready to adjust the plans for the game if a special idea or a wish from the community emerges.
