Delta Force: Hawk Ops is changing its own name. But don’t worry – you don’t have to get used to it. Developer Team Jade is dropping the “Hawk Ops”, so from now on the shooter will simply be called

New name, big plans

The name change was announced via X, formerly Twitter. At the same time, the studio would like to thank 1.5 million Steam users who have added Delta Force to their wish list. This puts the shooter in 6th place among the most requested games on Steam

The new name is intended to make it clear that this is “the” Delta Force game, closing the gap between veterans of the series and newcomers.

Between 1998 and 2009, nine games in the Delta Force series were released, mostly under the studio and publisher NovaLogic.

Release until the end of the year

On PC, Delta Force is set to launch in Early Access in the fourth quarter of 2024 This announcement was accompanied by a new trailer at gamescom:

An exact date is not yet known, but there will be an opportunity for Steam users to try out the game beforehand.

Delta Force offers large multiplayer battles with 64 players à la Battlefield as well as another mode reminiscent of Escape from Tarkov. A single-player campaign is also set to follow.

So far, the tactical shooter has been very well received and our verdict is also positive. The developers recently caused a stir with their promise to do without Pay2Win.
