The first trailer for the forest firefighting simulation Rescue Ops: Wildfire has been released. The game aims to realistically depict the intensity of real wildfires and forest fires, putting you in the role of a firefighter.
In addition to actually extinguishing fires, the tasks in Rescue Ops: Wildfire include reconnaissance by helicopter, rescuing civilians from the danger zone, cutting firebreaks, and requesting tactical air support (e.g., firefighting planes).
Rescue Ops: Wildfire can be played solo or in co-op with 2 to 4 players and offers a pre-built campaign or a free sandbox mode with random missions.
According to the developer, one highlight is the dynamic behavior of the fires, which spread differently depending on the terrain, weather, and other factors. And it already looks really threatening in the trailer thanks to the dense smoke and dramatic lighting!
A release date has not yet been announced, but Rescue Ops: Wildfire will be available exclusively for PC via Steam and Epic, as well as in the Xbox PC Store.
