Here you will find all currently known and active Shift codes. We test the codes regularly and indicate how long they are expected to be valid:

How to get more codes & rewards

Shift code via Discord quest:

• Go to Discord and search for Quests under Discover, then select Borderlands 4.
• Accept the quest, select your platform (PC or console) and play Borderlands 4 for at least 15 minutes.
• Then go back to Discord and pick up your individual Shift code for a golden key.

The Discord quest ends on September 26.

Reward via newsletter:

To get the “Hazard Pay” weapon skin, all you have to do is sign up for the 2K and Gearbox newsletter.

1. Visit the official SHiFT website and log in with your account (or create a new one).
2. Ensure that your platform account (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox) is linked to your SHiFT account.
3. Enable newsletters and promotional emails in your account settings.
4. The weapon skin will be credited to your account and will be waiting for you in the game.

How to redeem Shift codes in Borderlands 4

Once you have a new code, there are two easy ways to redeem it and claim your rewards.

Method 1: Redeem in-game

1. Launch Borderlands 4 and go to the main menu.
2. Navigate to the “SHiFT” tab.
3. Enter the 25-digit code in the field provided and confirm.
4. Your reward (e.g., Golden Keys) will be sent to your in-game mailbox.

Method 2: Redeem on the SHiFT website

1. Visit Gearbox’s official SHiFT website.
2. Log in with your account.
3. Click on the “Rewards” menu item.
4. Enter the code in the “Redeem Code” field.
5. Make sure you select the correct platform on which you want to receive the reward.
6. The reward will then also be waiting in your in-game mailbox.

Expired Shift Codes

For archiving purposes, we will move expired codes to this section. This way, you can see which promotions you have missed. There are currently no expired codes.

These first Shift Codes are just the beginning, of course. Gearbox traditionally provides you with fresh codes on a regular basis after the launch of a new Borderlands game. The best place to find them is on social media channels, especially the X account of Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford, who often shares the codes himself.
