Battlefield rival Delta Force introduces four new seasons, new maps, weapons, and improvements

The free-to-play multiplayer shooter promises plenty of new content in 2025. The next season starts this week.

While there is still no sign of a new Battlefield, the competition is already starting the new year at full steam. On January 18, 2025, the next season of Delta Force, called Starfall, begins. The developers will also give an outlook on the three further chapters that will be released in 2025 on the livestream

What’s in Starfall?

But first of all, Season Starfall. It contains a lot of new content for multiplayer and singleplayer, which we will briefly summarize for you:

• Two new maps: On Trainwreck, you fight over the wreckage of a train that has fallen from a destroyed bridge. On Knife Edge, a skirmish in a dam under construction will deliver you to the action. New areas are also being added to the two maps Space City and Zero Dam. You can see all of this in the trailer:

• New Operator: A new operator is also coming into play. He goes by the name of Sineva and carries a huge shield that protects him from enemy fire. He can also pull allies towards him with a grappling hook.

• New weapons: The assault rifle SR9, the submachine gun QCQ171 and the machine gun QJB201 are new additions. There is also a new grenade launcher for explosive projectiles and smoke grenades.

• New modes:In Season Starfall, you can play Capture the Flag, a well-known game mode in which you have to steal the enemy flag and defend your own. Hotzone is a new game mode in which three teams of three compete against each other.

• Black Hawk Down:The Delta Force co-op campaign is also being released to coincide with the start of the season. In seven chapters, you will experience a dramatic mission in Mogadishu, Somalia, based on historical events.

The developers will also livestream to present their roadmap for the next 12 months and announce some gameplay improvements.

• In each season, existing maps will be revised or expanded.

• In the second season, there will be night versions of some maps. In addition, the environment destruction will be revised.

• In addition, vehicles are to be improved. You will be able to customize your vehicle within a match. In addition, driving behavior and the camera are to be improved.

Delta Force has been available in early access since December 10, 2024. However, the release version was not yet able to fully convince us in the test. The Free2Play shooter is too closely modeled on the great Battlefield, and then also on the unpopular BF 2042. Perhaps Delta Force can at least eliminate some of the criticisms in 2025, it remains exciting.
