The debut trailer reveals Battlefield Portal, a new mode that is part of Battlefield 2042 but doesn’t just cover a single era: Weapons, vehicles and also maps from different Battlefield games are on board! Battlefield 1942, Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 are mixed together with all multiplayer content from BF2042. In addition, there are 6 classic maps that will be remade in the new Frostbite engine, complete with destruction.
An extensive editor allows almost unlimited mix&match of all these formats and all content from Battlefield 2042. The trailer shows scenarios like WW2 pilots against modern equipment from Bad Company 2 or Wehrmacht soldiers from 1942 against the US army from BF3. The rules are in the hands of the players.
