This time with a clear commitment to the past and a fresh look to the future. The upcoming installment, which is expected to be released by the end of March 2026, will build on the strengths of previous games in the series and combine them with modern ideas.

The focus is on a return to proven elements such as the classic 64-player battles But there will also be a revised 4-class system and more realistic destructionon the battlefield. The more dynamic environments are designed to enable tactical depth and more intense combat. At the same time, the community will be more closely involved from the outset. With the “Battlefield Labs” program, the publisher is inviting selected players to provide feedback in the early stages of development. This allows direct user feedback to flow into the balancing and fine-tuning of the game – an approach that has often been requested by fans in the past.

EA has brought together four of its in-house studios to develop the game: DICE, Ripple Effect, Criterion, and Motive. This combined expertise is intended not only to ensure quality, but also to deliver the biggest Battlefield experience to date. Initial leaks point to expansive maps, modern battlefields, and an intense gaming experience that aims to recapture the glory days of the series.

The big reveal is already planned for summer 2025. According to EA, work on the new title is proceeding according to plan. The delay of the upcoming GTA 6could be a fortunate circumstance – Battlefield would have less competition in the blockbuster sector during its planned release period.

The future also looks bright from an economic perspective. EA expects revenue of between 7.6 and 8 billion US dollars for the 2026 fiscal year – a figure that exceeds the expectations of many analysts. There is already a positive trend on the stock market, thanks in no small part to the great anticipation surrounding the new shooter. The coming months are therefore likely to be particularly exciting for fans of the series.
