Assassin’s Creed Shadows is not only coming to the Switch 2 in December. The developers have also prepared an in-game Advent calendar for you, where you can collect new loot every day.

It’s bitterly cold outside, the last leaves have fallen from the trees, and a quick glance at the calendar makes it clear: it’s December. And that means it’s time to open the first door on your Advent calendars at home.

But it’s not just in real life that you can look forward to nice little treats every day during Advent, but also in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In keeping with the Christmas season, the developers at Ubisoft Quebec have now announced that they will be giving you new in-game rewards every day until Christmas.

What do you have to do? It’s simple: start Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The daily Advent calendar gifts are waiting for you in a festively decorated chest in your hideout.

What kind of gifts are there? Every day, there will be different rewards in the chest. What exactly is in there is not known in advance. On December 1, there were about 6 gold nuggets and 10,000 Mon (money).

During the announcement of the event, Game Director Simon Lemay-Comtois also said that the rewards for completing Corrupted Castles will be doubled for the duration of the Christmas event. That means double gold, double XP, and double resources.

How long will the Christmas event in Shadows last? The promotion will run from December 1 to 25, 2025.

What else can you expect in AC Shadows in December?

In addition to the advent calendar with daily changing rewards, lead developer Lemay-Comtois also announced that Shadows will receive another title update on Tuesday, December 16, which will finally add new finisher animations to the game.

In addition, AC Shadows will be released tomorrow, December 2, 2025, for the Switch 2. The embargo on reviews has already been lifted, and at least for now, we have to issue a purchase warning to anyone planning to play the game in handheld mode, as the game’s performance and appearance are currently only tolerable in docked mode.

You can read more in the link box above. There you can also find out why the second collaboration with the anime series Attack on Titan did not go down well with Shadows fans.

Incidentally, as things stand at present, Shadows is not expected to receive a second major story expansion on the scale of Claws of Awaji. Game Director Lemay-Comtois recently revealed that nothing of this nature is planned for the coming year.
