Following the launch of the Cold Snap update, Arc Raiders remains in Christmas mode. Currently, all players are receiving additional free currency, and blueprint drop rates remain increased. Developer Embark has made a minor adjustment in response to feedback regarding loot distribution.
Blueprint drop rates minimally reduced per hotfix
The blueprint drop rates in Arc Raiders were significantly increased with the Cold Snap update.
They were significantly more generous than the previous ones, making blueprints that were previously difficult to obtain now available in large numbers.
Embark has now released a hotfix that “slightly” reduces the drop rates. According to the developers, however, the values are still higher overall than before the update.
1,000 Raider Tokens as a Christmas gift
In addition to adjusting the drop rates, Embark is currently distributing free in-game currency. All players who log in will receive 1,000 Raider Tokens. The amount is worth approximately $10.
The tokens can be used to purchase cosmetic content such as a new outfit for your Raider or alternative items. Even Scrappy, the chicken in the game, can be equipped with new accessories.
Collect your gift via the in-game mailbox
The Christmas gift is not credited automatically; it must be actively collected. To do this, players must open the in-game mailbox, which can be found as an icon at the top right of the inventory.
A message with the subject “Happy Holidays!” will be found there, and it comes directly from the developers. The 1,000 Raider Tokens will be unlocked as soon as you open the mail.
Restrictions for players who exploit
According to community reports, players who have used a known door exploit will be excluded from the full reward. They will also receive a message in their mailbox, but only a single Raider Token.
Embark had previously taken action against the exploitation of game bugs and issued warnings to players who did so.
Cold Snap conditions remain appealing
Blueprint drop rates on maps with active Cold Snap conditions are still increased despite the small adjustment. These maps are bound by snow cover and harsh survival conditions, forcing players to seek shelter to avoid freezing to death.
Embark has already signaled that it will continue to monitor the values and possibly adjust them again.
