The release date for Anno 117 was revealed at the PC Gaming Show, and we now know which DLCs will follow soon.
Anno 117: Pax Romana has finally announced a specific date when the city-building game will hit stores. Let’s not beat around the bush:
- The game will be released on November 13, 2025
With the announcement of the release date, it is now also possible to pre-order the game and choose from one of two different editions. But that’s not all: the team has also revealed the first three DLCs, all of which are scheduled for release in 2026.
This is what Anno 117 will cost
Anno 117 will be released on November 13 in four different editions. However, one of them is purely digital and two are only intended for physical release. Here is a summary of the contents of all editions:
- Standard Edition(digital and physical)
- 60 euros
- Pre-order bonus
- Tribun Edition(physical)
- 60 Euro
- Pre-order bonus
- Steelbook
- 3 lithographs with artwork
- Gold Edition(digital)
- 90 Euro
- Pre-order bonus
- Year 1 Pass
- Governor’s Edition(physical)
- 160 Euro
- Pre-order bonus
- Year 1 Pass
- Steelbook
- Forged Anno symbol
- Albion and Latium coins
- Amphitheater 3D puzzle
- 84-page art book
- 3 lithographs with artwork
- Letter from the Town Crier
- Blueprint
So it’s a pretty typical mix of pre-order bonuses, the first season pass, and goodies in the Collector’s Edition. Ubisoft has also already announced what pre-order customers will receive:
Pre-order bonuses
- Town Crier Statue:The likeable town crier from the first trailer is getting a statue.
- Capitoline Wolf Statue:Another cosmetic ornament reminiscent of the founding legend of Rome.
- Battle Standard:A large pole with a flag flying proudly and crowned by a small statue.
- Wolf player logo: A logo for your player profile in the shape of a wolf.
The first Season Pass takes you to Egypt!
Even more exciting than the pre-order bonuses,is the content of the first Season Pass Ubisoft is clearly sticking to the concept from Anno 1800 and will be releasing three new DLCs with each season. These will usually include two smaller expansions and one large expansion. All DLCs are scheduled for release in 2026.
1. DLC: New Islands
The very first DLC for Anno 117 will bring several new islands to the game. This will not only give you more space, but also new challenges. The first image and the DLC description mention a smoking mountain, so it seems that a volcano will play an important role. To be on the safe side, don’t name your cities Pompeii.
2. DLC: Circus Maximus
The second DLC brings a new monument to the game. While we already know that the Colosseum is in the main game, the Circus Maximus will be added in the DLC. Historically, it was the largest arena in ancient Rome and was mainly used as a race track. In Anno 117, this monument is also called the Imperial Raceway and entertains your citizens.
3. DLC: Egypt
To be honest, it was pretty obvious and therefore only half a surprise. But now it’s official that Egypt will be the first new session in Anno 117, i.e. the first new area. The country isn’t actually called Egypt, but the golden land of the pyramids
, but that’s more than obvious. It will be exciting to see whether a new DLC session in Anno 117 will be as independent as Latium and Albion.
Since the Gold Edition including the Year 1 Pass costs about $30 more than the basic version, we expect a higher price for the expansions in Anno 117. In Anno 1800, each season cost around 25 euros, but now the price will probably be around 30 – maybe even higher. But at least the base game costs the same as Anno 1800.
