Frictional Games has released a new gameplay video for Amnesia: The Bunker at the end of last week. This serves as a kind of survival tip and shows you how to best deal with the threat in the dark.

Three years ago Frictional Games released Rebirth, the latest part of the Amnesia series. But soon there will be more for fans of survival horror. Amnesia: The Bunker is scheduled for release in mid-May and will confront you with the supernatural horror of the First World War.

In this part of the series, you take on the role of the French soldier Henri Clément, who was left behind in a bunker during the First World War. He must now find his way out of the bunker alone. All he has with him is a revolver and a loud crank torch. Supplies and other useful items must be found as you explore the bunker. As you investigate the bunker, you must find out what happened to the other officers and deal with the horrors that lurk in the darkness.

As in the previous titles in the series, the monster of Amnesia: The Bunker reacts to sounds. As the trailer shows, however, you can’t always avoid them. On the one hand, you have to use weapons to scare away giant rats. On the other hand, your crank torch makes a huge noise. When the monster is close, you have to pick up your feet and run for your life. If you’re familiar with the series, you should already be a pro at this.

Amnesia: The Bunker is scheduled to be available for PC via (Steam) and (Epic Games Store) on

16 May
