Yesterday evening, THQ Nordic released a new trailer for Alone in the Dark. It not only shows new game scenes. The voice actors and developers also have their say and talk about the production of the horror title.

The new gameplay trailer of Alone in the Dark shows the horror title less from its menacing side. Instead, it focuses on the mood and interactions between the various characters.
Jodie Comer (Emily Hartwood), for example, explains that her non-playable characters were the ones that excited her most about the game because they were so faceted When Emily meets a new person, for example, it seems as if the world changes completely.

David Harbour (Edward Carnby) also agrees with this opinion and explains that many AAA titles are very direct with their storytelling. Alone in the Dark, on the other hand, takes a more subtle approach and creates a certain strangeness amidst the creepy atmosphere, which creates a special atmosphere when playing.
As the corresponding gameplay scenes underline, we can look forward to an atmospheric mix of horror and entertaining interactions.

Playing with two protagonists

As also explained in the trailer, we will have to decide at the beginning of the game whether we want to take on the role of Emily Hartwood or Edward Carnby . Depending on our choice, we will not only experience different aspects of the plot. The NPCs’ reactions and interactions with Emily and Edward will also be different. Alone in the Dark naturally wants to create replay value with this

On March 20 we can get an impression of the game’s atmosphere for ourselves. That’s when Alone in the Dark will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. You can find more trailers and information in the following overview:
