After four years of development and a long silence, fans of the military tactics hit Door Kickers 2 are on the verge of redemption

The developers on Steam haven’t been in touch for over a year. Now, they’ve surprisingly posted plans on Valve’s platform for how the game will continue.

For a long time, things went quiet around Door Kickers 2: Task Force North.The real-time tactics game had been the subject of great expectations. In 2020, the game went into early access.

Since then, the game has become a real tactical heavyweight. But for over a year, there has been radio silence from the developers – who have now surprisingly reported back to Steam.

Two campaign modes in the works

On Steam, Killhouse Games revealed its further plans for Door Kickers 2 under the title “”Current information on progress towards the full release” In it, the developers write:

A long time ago, we decided to stop releasing minor updates and focus on finishing the game as a whole because we thought it wouldn’t take that long. We felt that a single release would be more efficient than countless cycles of development, testing, announcing, bug fixing, and so on.

The bad news is that there was no update last year. The good news is that the team has been working on so many things in the meantime that Door Kickers 2 should feel like a new game when it is released.
