With a specially developed Creation Kit, players can not only create their own content but also share it directly with the community.
The tool, available through the Epic Games Store, makes creating and managing mods easier than ever. From hairstyles and clothing to quests or even completely new dungeons, the possibilities are endless. A new mod manager makes installing mods a breeze, integrating the content into the game at the push of a button.
Despite the enthusiasm, there is one limitation: the update is only available for PC Console gamers are left out in the cold because the tool is based directly on the Unreal Engine. Nevertheless, Avalanche Software promises that these new possibilities will significantly enrich the gaming experience – and the community already has plenty of ideas.
New content for even more adventure
Alongside the Creation Kit, the update also includes some pre-made content that was created in collaboration with developers. Among other things, there are new hairstyles and eccentric flight options such as a phoenix, a dragon or a retro vacuum cleaner that adds a nostalgic touch.
For the more adventurous, the update has two special highlights in store. A challenging endless dungeon invites players to face numerous dangers and discover hidden secrets. There is also a new quest in which magical creatures must be captured – a feature that will make collectors’ hearts beat faster.
