At PAX East 2025 in Boston, Pearl Abyss will present a playable demo of Crimson Desert for the first time. Visitors to the show can step into the shoes of Kliff, a mercenary leader fighting his way through the harsh world of Pywel. The demo offers a taste of what players can expect in the full game: intense combat, a vast open world, and a deep story.

The developers are relying on thein-house BlackSpace Engine,which enables impressive graphics and dynamic weather effects. Players can explore the world not only on foot, but also on the backs of wyverns. In addition to combat, the world of Pywel also offers more peaceful activities such as fishing, cooking, and solving puzzles.

The release of Crimson Desert is planned for late 2025 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Mac.
