After some very welcome news about the longevity of The Crew 2, Ubisoft is now giving you a fabulous discount on Steam

Fans of The Crew have had a tumultuous few months. After The Crew 1 disappeared forever from all stores in April 2024, the game was even removed from the digital libraries of all those who had purchased the game. As expected, Ubisoft promptly received a decent shitstorm and sparked lively debates in the community about owning and not owning digital games

In order to polish up its image, Ubisoft recently gave the all-clear:The Crew 2 and Motorfest will be spared this fate. But that’s not all: the publisher is giving both games a discount campaign on Steam that is really something

All current offers for The Crew

These two offers are currently available on Steam:

  • The Crew 2from 2018 has been reduced by a whopping 98 percent to the bargain price of 1 Euro.
  • The currentThe Crew Motorfestfrom 2023 is available with a 70 percent discount for as little as 21 euros.

If you’re interested in Motorfest, take a look at our gameplay video – little has changed here since its release a few months ago:

For whom is The Crew 2 worthwhile?

In the case of The Crew 2, things look different. The open-world speedster has naturally had many years to develop and work on its construction sites since 2018. At launch, there was little to do in the gigantic game world, but now you can spend many, many hours there – similar to the competition from Forza Horizon – with all kinds of racing activities

The Crew 2 still has some strong unique selling points – even compared to its sequel Motorfest:

  • In The Crew 2, you don’t just race around in a car, you also fly airplanes and boat
  • Like its predecessor, the open world covers a condensed version of the entire United States of America

At the moment, the servers are anything but empty: On Steam alone, over 21,000 players are currently racing down the slopes. This is likely to drop again over the next few weeks, so now is the perfect time to enjoy the multiplayer aspect of the game one last time while the entire community migrates back to its successor, Motorfest.

If you start the game now, you can also get four cars for just one credit ingame during the discount campaign:

  • Mustang Shelby GT500 Road Force One
  • Frauscher 1414 Demon
  • Slick 360HP
  • Porsche 959 Raid

Your fleet can also be transferred to the successor Motorfest. The campaign won’t conjure up the first part in your libraries – we’ll never be able to play its single-player campaign again – but at least Ubisoft is visibly improving. Or what do you think?
