The next international pop stars are joining the colourful universe in Fortnite: R&B singer Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak get their own skins as part of the Icons series.
The duo known as “Silk Sonic” will be available with two skins of their own in the Fortnite shop starting February 11. In addition to this, there will also be a range of other content.
This content will be available on February 11:
- Skins “Bruno Mars” and “Anderson .Paak” with styles
- Radio station “Icon Radio” with songs by artist:s from the Icon series and bassist Bootsy Collins as host
- Tip pick “Sound Scepter” with built-in mic and back accessory feature
- Emote “Free Steps “
- Tip hoe “Boom-Bapp” with drum
- Back accessory “beat drum “
- Lobby music “Somebody This Fly “
- Emote “Leave The Door Open” (recurring)
In addition to the default style, the two skins contain two more alternative styles, one of which is even a reactive style that changes by certain actions in the match.
Exclusive content to unlock in the Silk Sonic Cup
Those who can’t wait until 11 February to take on the roles of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have the opportunity to unlock the skins and the exclusive “Silk Sonic” spray motif in advance in the Silk Sonic Cup. The Cup will take place on 7 February. In total, up to ten matches can be played and points can be collected. These points will later determine your place on the ranking list.
All participants who are ranked 1 to 1,250 in their region at the end of the event will receive the skins and back accessories. If you have collected at least eight points, you will unlock the exclusive spray motif. With a higher ranking in the match you will also receive more points – an Epic victory even gives you 25. Each elimination gives you an additional point.
New addition to the icon series
Ariana Grande, Marshmello and Travis Scott have already become part of the icon series in Fortnite with their own skins and events. So far, this consists of well-known musicians, streamers, pro-players and athletes.
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak are not completely unknown in Fortnite. While Anderson .Paak made a digital appearance in the Spotlight concert series in 2020, players have been able to show off their dance moves for some time now with the emote “Leave The Door Open” to the song of the same name by Bruno Mars.
