“A new circle closes” – Indiana Jones gets an update with bite
Fans of the adventurer with the fedora have something to look forward to: developer MachineGames has announced a comprehensive update for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle—and it’s a big one. The update will be released on October 10, 2025, and in addition to technical improvements, it will also deliver gameplay highlights that are sure to have even experienced treasure hunters reaching for their controllers again.
First and foremost is the new New Game Plus mode, which, according to the developers, lets you experience “the adventure in a whole new light.” Those who have already completed the main game can now set off again with all their unlocked adventure points, collected books, and resources – but with significantly more power. MachineGames even recommends increasing the difficulty level to maintain balance.
But the real treasure awaits after the credits roll: those who complete the journey in New Game Plus will be rewarded with a completely new post-credit scene that no one has seen before. This closes another circle in Indy’s story – and at the same time opens up new questions for the future.
“The Cairo outfit is just the beginning!” – New looks and clever features
In addition to gameplay innovations, there are also visual reasons to rejoice. The newly added Cairo outfit is reminiscent of Indy’s iconic look from Raiders of the Lost Ark – casual, dusty, without a leather jacket. According to MachineGames, it is now available in all levels where no special camouflage is required. And best of all, “The Cairo outfit is just the beginning!” promises the studio. More variants are set to follow in the coming months.
There have also been some technical changes: with the new Voice Language Select feature, players can now adjust the voice output and subtitles independently of each other. So if you want to hear the original English voice but read German text, you now have the choice – a welcome option for purists and language lovers.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is not only celebrating its anniversary, but also proving that MachineGames is far from done with the legend. This update is more than a bonus – it’s a love letter to fans who grew up with Indy and still believe that the greatest adventures begin after the credits roll.
