The gaming community is speculating wildly about a possible PS5 version of Starfield. A mod that was briefly online and contained a PlayStation logo is causing discussions. Fans are wondering: is this a hidden clue or just a misunderstanding?

An unexpected find sparks discussion

Since its release in 2023, Starfield remains one of the most exciting sci-fi role-playing games of recent years for many players. But while Xbox and PC gamers have long since been able to immerse themselves in the infinite vastness of space, PlayStation fans continue to hope for a PS5 version. Now there is new cause for speculation.

A mod suddenly appeared on the official modding platform for Starfield that not only added new ship designs but also displayed a striking PlayStation logo. Screenshots of it spread rapidly across Reddit and other gaming forums. Although the mod was only online for a short time and has since been removed, the mystery remains: why did it contain a PlayStation logo when Starfield is officially only available for Xbox and PC?

The discussions continue to gain momentum, as many players suspect that Bethesda is working on a PS5 port and that the mod could be a hidden clue. The studio has not officially commented on this yet, but the sudden disappearance of the mod only fuels the speculation further.

The signs are mounting: Is Bethesda breaking with exclusivity?

The fact that Microsoft has recently released several exclusive titles for PlayStation has fueled further speculation. Games like Sea of Thieves and Grounded will soon be released for Sony’s console, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle may not remain exclusive to Xbox either. So the question arises: could Starfield be the next title in this series?

Additionally, there are reports of further content for Starfield. After the first DLC “Shattered Space” received mixed reactions, the developers are already working on another expansion. While Bethesda has not yet confirmed a PlayStation version, such a release could be a logical step to reach an even larger player base.

There is still no official announcement, but the signs are pointing in that direction. It remains to be seen whether PS5 players will soon be able to look forward to the vast universe of Starfield. What is certain, however, is that the topic is providing plenty to talk about.
