Fans are calling for the return of the popular War Game mode from Call of Duty WWII in Vanguard.

Call of Duty: Vanguard has already added some new features to the popular shooter series. A post-match MVP vote, the new Patrol game mode and more customisation options have been added with the latest title. Although Vanguard has been generally well received and has brought a breath of fresh air to the game series, fans still haven’t had enough.

Ingame locations lend themselves to return

So gamers:inside eagerly wish for the return of the War Game mode from CoD: WWII. This popular game mode is based on a focused style of play that involves heavy attack and defence mechanics. Yet since CoD: WWII, the mode has not appeared in any other title in the franchise.

In numerous Reddit threads on the CoD subreddit, fans have been rallying for the past two days, wishing for the mode to return. For example, many of the CoD games are set in World War II locations and would be the perfect opportunity to bring War Game back.

War needs to be brought back from CODVanguard

Despite numerous such threads about the mode’s return, neither developer studio Sledgehammer Games nor publisher Activision has yet responded to the call. A large part of the CoD player base has already echoed the sentiment.
