The midseason of Black Ops 7 is just around the corner: Season 1 Reloaded starts on January 8, 2026, and we have an overview of all the new content for you.
You’ll need to download a whopping 174 GB to start the new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. That means Season 1 Reloaded is going to be a pretty big package.
As usual with CoD, there’s a ton of new content coming mid-season, including new maps, weapons, and more.
And if you’re itching to finally shell out another $30 for skin collaborations that ruin the atmosphere of the game, starting mid-season, you can trudge through the Black Ops landscape as a ghoul from the Fallout series! Yay.
But anyway, let’s go through the new content so you know exactly what to expect.
New Multiplayer Maps
Season 1 Reloaded brings three new multiplayer maps.
- Yakei is a new Japan map set atop a skyscraper for 6v6 and 2v2. Those who have played the Black Ops 7 campaign will be familiar with the environment.
- Meltdown is a remastered map from Black Ops 2 for 6v6. You’ll be racing across the outdoor areas of a Pakistani nuclear facility.
- Fringe will be familiar to veterans of Black Ops 3; it’s the map with the barns and the long corridor with the train car. The map was already reissued in Black Ops 6 last year, and now it’s back again for 6v6.

New Weapons, Gadgets, and More
Two new firearms await you in Season 1 Reloaded:
- The Hawker HX is a renamed sniper rifle from Black Ops 2. You may know it as the Ballista.
- The Sturmwolf 45 is a variant of the UMP, i.e. an SMG with high accuracy and low recoil.
In addition, several scorestreaks and gadgets from Black Ops 6 are making their way into the game. These include:
- The Combat Bow
- The Dreadnought Gunship
- The SAM Turret
- Grim Reaper
- Death Machine (Minigun)
- Archangel Launcher
- War Machine (Grenade Launcher)
- Strategic Bomber
- The Shock Grenade
- Thermal Grenades
- Impact Grenades
New in Zombies Mode
The Zombies mode in Black Ops 7 will only be slightly expanded. The Zarya Cosmodrome will become a Survival map and expand the Diner and the Farm. In addition, the Astra Malorum map will get a Directed mode if you don’t feel like searching for all the Easter eggs manually.
New in Endgame
After the Z-Rex and a giant robot were added in Season 1, the devs promise more event bosses for the weeks after midseason, including the so-called Wraith Wing, an extremely powerful aircraft.
Those who defeat the bosses will probably receive new exotics in return.
New in Warzone
New events are also being teased for Warzone, but the developers aren’t going into much detail yet. As mentioned, midseason begins on January 8, 2026, kicking off at 6 p.m. The preload is already underway, so you can start downloading the 170 GB now.
