In the data of Call of Duty Mobile, dataminers have allegedly found various info on Modern Warfare 2. But take the leak with a grain of salt.

It’s actually fitting that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 s underwater gameplay is improved above all else, because leaks always float to the surface even before release. Okay, from here on no more bad word jokes, let’s talk about alleged facts: The dataminer orange man claims to have found heaps of info in the code of the closed alpha of Call of Duty Warzone Mobile about new maps, modes, weapons and more that are ultimately planned for Modern Warfare 2.

As always, take such leaks with a grain of salt – and we won’t share images here at our site that are explicitly not approved for publication. But at least we want to outline the most important leak information for you.

Maps and weapons in Modern Warfare 2

In the code, the leakers claim to have found seven multiplayer maps, including four for regular 6v6 PvP and three for the big Ground War mode, which acts as a test balloon for Infinity Ward to assemble the new Warzone map from the individual maps, just like Modern Warfare (2019). Let’s talk about the regular maps first:

  • Grand Prix: A race track similar to the Miami map from Hitman 2, only this one is set in Asia.
  • Oil Field: An oil plantation in a desert scenario.
  • Museum: An art museum.
  • Saba: So far there’s only a code name for it. At first glance, it looks like a plaza in an Arab city.

Ground War:

  • Hydro: A lush rocky region with a deep river running through the middle that will encourage new underwater gameplay.
  • Fishtown: A fishing village with a lighthouse, also in a more Middle Eastern scenario.
  • Sira: Looks like a larger research or airport complex.

Also a list of Modern Warfare 2 weapons is said to already be in the code:

In addition to the new weapons, there is also a presumed first image of Treyarch’s Call of Duty for 2024 (supposedly no new CoD will be released in 2023), as well as some info on new modes, perks and so on. However, these buzzwords can’t really be classified at this point, so we recommend you just wait until the first beta and watch the first official gameplay until then:
