Activision has revealed the official PC requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The minimum configuration remains modest, while a PC requirement that was already unpopular in Battlefield 6 reappears.
The fall shooter season is entering its next round: After Battlefield 6 delivered more than respectable results, its big competitor Call of Duty is following suit in a few days with Black Ops 7.
Starting November 13, 2025, you can join the fray in Activision’s shooter, with Black Ops 7 releasing simultaneously for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on that date. The Call of Duty developers have now published the full system requirements for the latter platform, which are very modest, at least in terms of the minimum specs.
Black Ops 7 requirements: Three different levels
In a blog post on the official Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 website, developer Treyarch announced the recommended PC configurations you’ll need for the new shooter.
The requirements are divided into three different categories, which you can find in the menu below:
Minimum
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 / Intel Core i5-6600
- RAM: 8 GB RAM
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 470 / Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 / Intel Arc A580
- Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit
Recommended
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X / Intel Core i7-6700K
- RAM: 12 GB of memory
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT / Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 / Intel Arc B580
- Operating system: Windows 11 64-bit
“Competitive” / 4K Ultra
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Intel Core i7-10700K
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT / Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080 / RTX 5070
- Operating system: Windows 11 64-bit
In terms of storage space, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 requires 116 GB of free SSD capacity for all levels – Warzone content is not included here. According to the developers, additional storage space may also be required for further mandatory game updates.
In addition, Treyarch once again emphasizes the requirement for TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. These two “security measures” are intended to ensure that you have less trouble with cheaters in Black Ops 7; however, this requirement was also controversial in Battlefield 6!
Black Ops 7 recommends specific driver versions for the graphics card in your PC. According to Treyarch, the following versions (and their subsequent updates) are the minimum requirement – the respective links will take you directly to the download page.
New BO7 trailer gets you in the mood for PC features
There is also a new PC trailer that aims to showcase all the important features for the platform in a fast-paced minute and a half:
In this context, Treyarch promises that you can choose between “maximum image quality and the highest possible frame rate.” There are said to be over 800 customization options, giving you extensive access to all graphics and gameplay options, including support for ultrawide monitors.
- In terms of upscaling techniques, Call of Duty has been promoting AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) for years, which is used in Black Ops 7 in its fourth generation.
- Nvidia DLSS and Intel XeSS are not mentioned by name, but are on board in an unknown version at launch.
To test how well your PC performs in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, you can use the integrated benchmark tool. As usual, you can find out how well the shooter itself performs in our (soon to be released) GlobalESportNews test.
