The second beta weekend for Battlefield 6 is coming up, and this time everyone can play for the full four days. Also included this time: Rush.

Maybe you spent this morning welding the last seam on a tank or saving a teammate’s life with a defib to quickly complete the challenges of the first beta weekend. Now you have three days off, but on Thursday, the fun continues with Battlefield 6.

Battlefield 6: The 2nd Beta Weekend

In the second public test run, you can play for a full four days. There will be no early access as there was for the first beta:

  • Start: August 14 at 10 a.m.
  • End: August 18 at 10 a.m.

What content is available?

DICE is expanding the maps and modes with some new content, but you’ll also be able to play all the content from the first beta in the second beta.

The maps:

  • Siege of Cairo
  • Liberation Peak
  • Iberian Offensive
  • Empire State (New)

There is a new addition to the maps: Empire State. You will fight on this pure infantry map in Brooklyn – with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge included.

  • Conquest
  • Closed Weapon Conquest
  • Breakthrough
  • Domination
  • King of the Hill
  • Squad Deathmatch (New): Four squads compete directly against each other. The winner is the first team to reach the elimination target.
  • Rush (New): As in Breakthrough, there is one team that attacks and one that defends. The attackers try to destroy communication systems with explosive charges and thus conquer sector by sector. The defenders want to prevent this.

Rush has been an extremely popular mode in the series since Bad Company 2, but has been somewhat neglected in recent games (especially Battlefield 2042).

You’ll soon be able to find out for yourself whether DICE will bring back the once-popular mode in the new installment of the shooter series!

New rewards

On the second weekend, there will be three new challenges that will earn you rewards that you can use when the game is released.

  • Capture 42 flags in Conquest, Domination, or King of the Hill: War Machine Vehicle Skin
  • Get 200 kills or assists: Bat Company Dog Tag
  • Capture 10 sectors in Breakthrough or Rush: Dominion Weapon Package

It’s possible that DICE and EA haven’t revealed everything that’s in store for you this time around. For example, the Team Deathmatch and Escalation modes have not been confirmed.

It is also unknown whether there will be new weapons or equipment. The same applies to possible balance adjustments. For example, a rework of the Assault class was announced before the beta, but the changes were not yet playable.
